Research Interest

Dr. ZHAO is a Professor of Structural Engineering at Zhejiang University, China. she was awarded her Ph.D in Structural engineering at Zhejiang University in 2001. Since then she has been employed at Zhejiang University, where she was a lecturer, associate professor before becoming a Professor in 2008. She worked in Imperial College London as an academic visitor from 2006 till 2008. Her research interest is durability of concrete structures and recycled concreter structures. She has awarded 15 research grants from Chinese government, published more than 100 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings, coauthored 3 books and co-edited 3 conference proceedings. She has won the National Award for Science and Technology Progress in 2008.
