Dr. Li’s research focuses on contaminated soils and groundwater.  He carries out laboratory testing on the interaction between the contaminants and soils, numerical modeling contaminant transport in soils and engineering barriers for contaminated lands.  He participated in many research projects supported by NSFC, MOST and EPSRC (UK).  Dr. Li has published more than 40 technical papers in journals (including Géotechnique, J. of Geotech. & Geoenviron. Engin.-ASCE and Canadian Geotechnical Journal) and conference proceedings.  He was invited to write the paper for the regional editors themed issue by Environmental Geotechnics-ICE.
