Simulation & Optimization, Life-Cycle & Sustainable Management, Stakeholder Management

Primary Teaching Area

Engaged in the Academic Work around Construction Management, specializing in Modeling and Quantitative Analysis by combining multiple discipline knowledge such as Information Technology (IT) and Operational Research (OR). The publications have the H-index more than 15, and two of which about simulation and optimization respectively received citation more than 150 times. Current research areas include:

1) Simulation (BIM) and Operation Research-Based Construction Management;

2) Life-Cycle and Sustainable Management for Buildings and Infrastructures;

3) Stakeholder Analysis and Risk Management for Construction Projects; Principal Investigator (PI) of governmental funded projects from by the Research Grants Council (RGC) of HK, National Natural Science Foundation of China and Specialized Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education of China.

Education

Obtained PhD from City University of Hong Kong, Master Degree from Central South University, Bachelor Degree from Chongqing University. 

Professional Employment

Professor of the College of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Zhejiang University, PhD student supervisor. Head of the Institute of Construction Management. Used to work at City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, University of Alberta (Canada) and China Academy of Railway Sciences.
