Research Interest

1.The evaluation system and the innovation methods of urban landscape: with interdisciplinary way of thinking, making the urban landscape study which with humanistic connotation from qualitative to quantitative. I put forward the way to establish evaluation system of urban landscape, especially the research of urban color landscape and its application has reached domestic leading level, and has won second prize at the provincial or ministerial level for 2 items (as the first winner) and third prize at the provincial or ministerial level for 1 item(as the first winner).
2.The research of described architecture: a large number of architecture described in the paintings can confirm each other with Chinese architectural history, which is important evidence to research Chinese wooden architecture before Tang Dynasty. I research the architecture described in portrait brick in Han Dynasty, Qing Ming Shang He Tu and Dunhuang cave murals, study the style and feature of different times and its relationship with society, economy and architectural technology; and extract Characteristic factors and symbol system through the quantitative analysis, which fills the gaps in the study of Chinese architectural history.
3.The research of the protection and development of traditional villages: explore the possibility of the protection and development of traditional villages in many ways based on the current situation of society and economy.
4.The research of green building based on landscape ecology: construct the green building system from the integrated application of ecological technology and the perspective of landscape ecology.

Graduated from the Department of Architecture, Southeast University in July 1989;
Studied doctor degree program of Tokyo University and graduated with doctor degree from April 1996 to March 2001.

Professional Employment

Work at Nikken Design Group(Tokyo) after graduated. And then come to Zhejiang University as introduce talent, now act as professor, doctoral supervisor and director of Landscape and Garden Center in College of Civil   Engineering and Architecture.
