The Project of“Innovation and Talent-introduction Base for Testing Geotechnical Long-term Service Performance and Regulating Discipline”established by Professor Chen Yunmin’s Team Listed in the National “111 Plan”

       Recently, the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Education and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs announced the result after reviewing the newly-created “Innovation and Talent-introduction Plans in Institutions of Higher Learning and Advanced Disciplines” (also referred to as the “111 Plan”) in 2018. “Innovation and Talent-introduction Base for Testing Geotechnical Long-term Service Performance and Regulating Discipline established by Professor Chen Yunmin’s team from our College was listed in this Plan.

   “Innovation and Talent-introduction Plans in Institutions of Higher Learning and Advanced Disciplines” (referred to as the “111 Plan”) aims to promote the process of building world-class universities in China. Since 2006, this project has been jointly implemented by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs.Targeting at the forefront of the development of international disciplines, and based on the national key disciplines, more than 1,000 talents have been introduced and pooled from the world's top 100 well-known universities and research institutions of the dominant disciplines to form a high-level research team and build approximately 100 world-class disciplinary innovation and talent-introduction bases. The construction period of each “111 Plan”talent-introduction base is 5 years with annual capital support of not less than 1.8 million yuan.
