Dr Jinzhe Gong (公劲喆) is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow of Hydraulics Engineering at the University of Adelaide. He obtained his PhD degree from the University of Adelaide, Australia in 2014. Dr Gong also holds a MEng and a BEng in Applied Geophysics. His PhD research has earned recognitions in both the academia and the industry, including the Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence in 2014by the University of Adelaide and the Postgraduate Research Award in 2013 by Australian Water Association for significant research impact to the water industry. His recent research efforts have focused on non-destructive leak detection and condition assessment for water transmission and distribution pipelines using fluid transient (water hammer) waves. Dr Gong has authored/co-authored over 20 technical publications, including 7 first-authored journal papers on the reported topic in top international journals (4 in ASCE journals, 2 in IAHR Journal of Hydraulic Research and 1 in Structural Health Monitoring).
