摘要:
Water distribution systems are critical infrastructure for every city and town. Efficient and accurate assessment of pipeline condition is essential to enable strategically focused asset replacement and reduce the cost of operation and maintenance. This presentation presents the progress in the research of non-invasive and cost-effective pipeline leak detection and condition assessment undertaken at the University of Adelaide, Australia. The research focuses on the smart use of controlled fluid transient (water hammer) waves and the analysis of the pressure response of the pipeline system under test.
报告人简介:

Dr Jinzhe Gong (公劲喆) is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow of Hydraulics Engineering at the University of Adelaide. He obtained his PhD degree from the University of Adelaide, Australia in 2014. Dr Gong also holds a MEng and a BEng in Applied Geophysics. His PhD research has earned recognitions in both the academia and the industry, including the Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence in 2014by the University of Adelaide and the Postgraduate Research Award in 2013 by Australian Water Association for significant research impact to the water industry. His recent research efforts have focused on non-destructive leak detection and condition assessment for water transmission and distribution pipelines using fluid transient (water hammer) waves. Dr Gong has authored/co-authored over 20 technical publications, including 7 first-authored journal papers on the reported topic in top international journals (4 in ASCE journals, 2 in IAHR Journal of Hydraulic Research and 1 in Structural Health Monitoring).
