报告题目：Damage Prognosis: the Future of Structural Health Monitoring
损伤预诊断：结构健康监测的未来
Brief Summary
Maintenance and management of ageing civil infrastructure systems has become a great challenge for engineers worldwide. However, the existence of subjective and inaccurate condition assessment is the most critical technical barrier to effective and efficient infrastructure management. For existing civil structures which have experienced progressive deterioration and/or severe loading events due to environmental effects, there is a need for a health prognosis to confidently predict how they will respond to future loading and when they will fail to deliver the required capacity. The reliability-based performance assessment technique has tremendous potential for structural safety and/or economic benefits. The research aims to develop a novel technique of a reliable and objective nature to correctly assess structural degradation, evaluate current condition and predict the remaining service life of civil infrastructure systems.

陈华鹏教授简介
1998年12月毕业于英国格拉斯哥大学（Glasgow University），获得博士学位。长期从事结构动力学、结构损伤识别、非线性有限元分析以及结构可靠度分析基础理论研究工作，独立主持和主要参与十多项研究项目，研究领域涉及基于振动特征的结构状态评估，结构动力学及其逆问题，全寿命结构设计和运行管理，现有结构可靠性分析等。发表研究论文80多篇，作为第一或唯一作者发表在国际著名期刊和国际会议论文集上，包括International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering，International Journal of Solids and Structures，Computers and Structures，AIAA Journal，Computational Mechanics，Journal of Sound and Vibration，Engineering Structures，Water Management，Engineering Computations等，这些研究成果获得同行的广泛引用, 至今SCI 他引超过100多次。目前，是10多种国际著名期刊的特邀审稿人和国际研究资助机构特邀为评审人。
