报告主题：Conceptual Design and Analysis of FPSO Mooring System

Dr. Cheng is a senior principal engineer and member of technical policy board in GL Noble Denton, a company with technical authority in hydrodynamics. He has been working on the research and consultant analysis in the field of ocean engineering over the past 20 years, andparticipated in hundreds of engineering projects.
The presentation will address the main issues to be considered at the conceptual design stage of a FPSO mooring system, including the design criteria, vessel response analysis, mooring layout and composition selection. The analysis methods for the key limiting factors, i.e. extreme offset, extreme mooring tension and fatigue life, will be presented. Mooring system design examples will be given to illustrate the design procedure and methodology.
