Scaling of model tests to predict prototype performance
报告人简介：
The main research area of Prof. Bhattacharya will be soil dynamics mainly in the area of earthquake, offshore and energy engineering. His research in seismic piles is at the forefront and in REF terminology “world leading”. This was particularly boosted through the recent RELUIS project (one year Italian Government funded project to work on Eurocode clause verification), the just concluded SERIES project (FP7 European Commission funded project to work on seismic issues related to infrastructure including foundations) and the ongoing EPSRC and UKIERI project.
Apart from earthquake research, he initiated the Offshore Wind Turbine research since He joined Bristol in 2007, Out of the 5 undergraduate projects, two won the first prize from the Institution of Structural Engineers (I.Struct.E). These research led to 10 journal publications so far and led RWE Innogy GmbH (parent company of NPower) to contract us research projects on this subject.
He has published 53 journal papers and 48 conference papers and several books. Most of his publications are SCI indexed.
