Dr. Stephen Wilkinson is to lecturer in geomechanics at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). XJTLU, is the largest Sino-British education collaboration in China. It opened its doors in 2006, and since then been growing rapidly. Dr. Wilkinson joined the faculty in February 2011 as part of the new civil engineering department. The department is expecting to graduate its first cohort in 2013. Dr. Wilkinson's research concerns the relationship between soil behavior, microstructure and geological history.
