Genda Chen博士简介:
Dr. Genda Chen received Ph.D.( 1992) in Civil Engineering, State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY . He now is Professor and Associate Director of Mid-America Transportation Center. His research interests include structural control, structural health monitoring, interface mechanics and deterioration of composite structures, bridge engineering, and multi-hazard effects on civil infrastructure. Dr. Chen authored and co-authored over 200 publications, including more than 70 journal articles and book chapters. He was a 1998 recipient of the National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development Award (CAREER), the 2009 Missouri S&T Inaugural and the 2011 Faculty Research Awards, and the 2004 Joseph H. Senne, Jr. Academy of Civil Engineers Faculty Achievement Award. Dr. Chen is Associate Editor of ASCE Journal of Structural Engineering and a recent Guest Editor of Structural Engineering and Mechanics. He is the past Chair of ASCE Performance-Based Design of Structures Committee, Secretary of ASCE Structural Control Committee, an executive member of the U.S. Panel on Structural Control and Monitoring, TRB Seismic Design and Performance of Bridges Committee, ASCEStructural Health Monitoring and Control Committee, and Earthquake Engineering Research Institute. He was a member of USDOT post-earthquake reconnaissance teams after the 2008 M7.9 China Earthquake and the 2010 M8.8 Chile Earthquake as well as the USDOT post-earthquake study tour after the 2011 M9.0 Great East Japan Earthquake. He was also a member of the USGS post-hurricane reconnaissance team after the 2005 Category III Atlantic Hurricane.
