作为世界上第一个实用低损耗通讯光纤的发明和制造者, 康宁公司是特殊玻璃和陶瓷材料的全球领导厂商。基于150多年在材料科学和制程工艺领域的知识, 康宁创造并生产出了众多被用于高科技消费电子、移动排放控制、通信和生命科学领域产品的关键部件。今天，康宁在大中华区的投资额已超过30亿美元，拥有8个生产工厂及3000多名员工。
Ming-Jun Li 博士简介：
Dr. Ming-Jun Li joined Corning Inc. in 1991, where he is currently a Research Fellow in Corporate Research. His research work has been focused on optical fibers and applications. He was a co-inventor of the nanoStructures® technology and ClearCurve® optical fiber, which was listed as one of Time magazine’s “Best Inventions of the Year” for 2007. He was a key contributor to new fiber developments for long haul and submarine transmissions including the LEAF® fiber, which won four industrial awards. He made significant contributions to the designs and process improvements for producing ultra-low polarization mode dispersion (PMD) fibers. He also worked on photonics crystal fibers and photonics bang-gap fibers as well as specialty fibers for different applications. His research efforts have resulted in the generation of a significant number of new products and revenue.
