Dr. M.J. Booij教授简介:
Dr. Booij (University of Twente, the Netherlands) is specialized in hydrological modelling and scale issues, climate change impacts, uncertainty analysis and decision support systems. On an international level, he was work package leader in the finished EU project FLOCODS on the development and application of a decision support system (DSS) for flood control in the Red River (Vietnam, China). He is actively involved in many international projects including appropriate decision support systems for the Meuse River (France, Belgium, the Netherlands) and Elbe River (Germany, Tjech Republic) and hydrological forecasting for reservoir management in the Qingjiang river, a sub-basin of the Yangtze river (China) , impacts of climate change on the water resources of the Hindukush-Karakorum-Himalayan region (Pakistan), water resources management in the Karkheh river basin (Iran) and uncertainties in impacts of climate change on extreme river discharges in the Qiangtang river (China). On a national level, Dr. Booij continues to work on studies about climate change impacts on the hydrology (floods, droughts) of the river Meuse in cooperation with the national government, KNMI and Deltares.
